Legolas and Gimli by Cargsdoodles

I've been a L/G shipper for a fair while now, though I only read them sporadically and I'm very picky about how they are portrayed. I scrolled past this on Tumblr and had to scroll back up and stare. This is the modern/hipster L/G AU I never realized I wanted. The aesthetic is perfect - and works sooooooo well for both Gimli and Legolas. Suddenly I want fic like burning based on this!!!! When checking for credit, I see she has a bunch of other pictures in this AU, so will have to check them out.

Her art is really nice, so even if this doesn't turn your crank, she has other things in her art tag worth a look.

I for the most part prefer a low rating and a strong emphasis on their incredible friendship, but I think this picture honestly works either way.

I miss Haleth, I wish she was around more and still writing!
