I don't know how it happened. You've got to look at this from the perspective of the fact that my last fic was 3,000 words and I was amazed at how long that was.

It's pre-beta, of course, so the word count might change. Also - Kei is one of the best betas out there. Seriously. I owe her big time for betaing this monster on such short notice. I'll have to stop doing swap fics if I keep writing this long though, because I am always done just before the unveiling. And betaing that long a fic that quickly is no picnic.

Celebrate after the beta's done.
