I bought extra icons. I don't like buying the paid accounts, LJ doesn't produce really good, customizable layouts anymore in my opinion and I get a whole host of features that I never use. If only I could get a few more layouts and the ability to edit comments for a smaller fee. It's all I really use.

It is interesting though that more people are spending money on digital goods and services than ever before, though, and the market is changing. I'm saving for a Kindle, each paycheck it gets a little closer. It'll never replace books for me, but it's so handy for a lot of reading. I have plans to put some of my favorite fanfiction on there. I just don't have the space to store physical books at the moment either.

I'll finish that 10 days meme. I just got on the really boring day and I've delayed it. I wonder if I'm irritating anyone with it. *G*

It's amazing, 15 new icons and I feel like LJ is brand new (minus the downtime and issues). Yes, I am very shallow about my icons.

Thank goodness for sites like mintyapple which do good layouts - LJ seems to have given up on that side of things.

I have never seen mintyapple's stuff, but I will now go check it out, I think. I like having plenty of options.

LJ just does a lot of generic stuff, it's sort of like preplanned meals. Works in a pinch and is okay, just often not as satisfying or creative.
