I find myself growing increasingly fond of the colour red as I get older.

My hair was bright red but when I hit 35 it faded to a brown with red/copper lights. It was straight and I would have loved curls :D

I used to live in a house with a bright red front door - it always seemed more welcoming than a white door.

Did you enjoy having red hair or did you hate it? I've never met anyone who's been ambivalent about it - it's love or hate. :D

My internet was knocked out to top it all off and won't be fixed until Tuesday. It's a great day, really what I needed on top of the sickness.

Jealous! There's genetic premature grey on my mom's side and they say I have her hair so I have that to look forward to possibly.

My front door is cherry red and white, I want to paint it a different colour but finding one that's as good as red is hard, I thought i might go blue or green but purple keeps coming to mind. Purples just another shade of red.....

I have been dying my hair red (amoungst other colours) for years, I even took the plunge in my forties and went bright scarlet for a while. Nowadays I keep to the dark red and purples but with some copper thrown in for good measure..

Beautiful trees, red looks so dramatice when the sun shines on them, sadly in the UK the weather is such that the trees don't go through the vibrant colours satge they seem to just go staight to brown and fall.

You know I've not seen many purple doors, that could be quite cool. Or a teal - that I think would be stunning.

I'm dying mine - it's a coppery red colour. I love it, want to go more intense red at some point. Have you ever posted a picture of you? I am trying to remember - there's something tickling the edges of my memory.

It's not just in the UK, in my part of the US it seems like the leaves are hardly bright for long at all anymore, they turn brown so fast! We should both go to Maine - I've heard they have fantastic autumn foliage.

I am feeling okay now - my whole family's been sick for a week and a half though.

Yes, they are. :) You and Sissy are natural redheads aren't you? The genetically blessed kind.

I had another autumn picture pulled out, but I rooted through my picture folder just a bit further and I knew I had to use this one. I want to be there - now, preferrably!

I know you're in KY - how are you with all the storm damage? We were blessed with just heavy rains - also lightning that took out the modem and router - compared to the people in AL.

**nods** Both my kids and I are redheads of one flavor or another. Bub is carrot-topped - the child looked like Bozo the clown at birth :P - and Sis and I are both copper-red. Or I was, anyway. I seem to be fading, like Binky said. More reddish blond than copper now. :(

We have had a lot of local flooding, but no real problems at our place. We've lost forks out of a couple of large trees, but, as you said, nothing compared to the hardest hit areas.

Good grief! Did your house literally get struck by lightning, or was it more widespread?
